Writing About History.
Writing with certainty about what occurred 100 years ago in Parkdale is impossible. Today’s newspapers cannot agree on current events any more than newspapers could 100 years ago. Modern historical researchers often offer multiple explanations of events.
Feel free to add your comments, facts and opinions in the Comment section at the end of any article.

Who Are We: A small group of volunteers from Roncesvalles and Parkdale gathered in Ari’s Place, a fitting spot given the heritage photos, and made plans to create a joint Parkdale Roncesvalles Historical Society. We have been working together since 2012, completing several Jane’s walks together . We selected a name, ‘Sunnyside Historical Society’, a few initial projects and a strategy for gradually introducing the name into our publications. The area covered will be bordered by Bloor Street to the north, High Park on the west, Dufferin Street to the east and Lake Ontario. We will include both sides of each road because overlapping is ok.

What a great day this was!
